In this class, you'll learn the basics of Ayurveda: what is it, where it comes from, the role the elements play in this philosophy, and of course: what are the doshas? You'll gain an understanding of your constitution, which will help you to make the choices that support you best in everyday life.
You'll learn about lifestyle, diet to support each dosha and how the seasons and age influence them. You'll learn the difference between your natal constitution and your present one that is influenced by your circumstances.
A Dinacharya is an Ayurvedic morning ritual that helps you to set the tone for the day. In this class, Irina offers different steps to choose from and build upon to help you care for your body and mind on a daily basis.
Massage is an important aspect of an Ayurvedic practice. In this class, you'll learn to give yourself an Ayurvedic belly massage and Irina explains about different oils and techniques.
At the end of the class, Irina shares Ayurvedic self-care advice for yoga teachers.
In this class, you'll move your body through a series of asanas that will bring balance to all three of the doshas. You'll be guided through a meditation, poses and you'll gain insights on which asana supports which dosha and why.
If you're a Kapha person, you more than likely long for slow and quiet practices. However, an active and slightly challenging class like this may be more beneficial for you.
If you're a Pitta, you are most likely drawn to a strong, physical practice. However, a calming class like this might be more what you need.
This third and final class is beneficial to people with high Vata or for use during Vata season. It's a sweet, gentle practice that will give you a sense of strength, grounding and warmth.
